The COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is a hydrating facial essence with 96% snail secretion filtrate. It was developed for dehydrated, sensitive, and stressed skin, supporting a smoother, more supple, and naturally radiant complexion.

The minimalist formulation combines snail secretion filtrate with betaine, sodium hyaluronate, allantoin, and panthenol. As a result, the essence binds moisture, soothes uncomfortable skin sensations, and complements the care of a weakened skin barrier.

The elastic, slightly gel-like texture spreads thinly and, despite its characteristic strings, absorbs well. It is suitable for normal, dry, oily, and combination skin and can be used mornings and evenings between toner and serum or moisturizer.

Texture & Finish

The essence has a clear, viscous, and slightly stringy gel texture. This special consistency is due to the snail secretion filtrate and differs significantly from a watery toner or classic serum.

One to two pumps can be evenly distributed over the face and neck. With a small amount, the essence absorbs well and leaves the skin hydrated, soft, and slightly radiant.

If too much product is used, a sticky or slightly tacky film can form. Pilling is also possible if several thick gel and silicone layers are applied one on top of the other. Very dry skin will then need a cream, as the essence alone does not provide a sufficiently moisturizing finish.

Application

After cleansing and toning, dispense one to two pumps onto face and neck and gently pat in. Then apply serum and moisturizer.

Can be used morning and evening. For very dehydrated skin, a second thin layer can be applied specifically to dry areas. In the morning, finish the routine with sun protection.

Hanyori Tip

Apply the essence to slightly damp skin and then immediately follow with a cream. This way, the bound moisture can be better retained in the routine.

For oily skin, one pump is usually enough for the entire face. Dry skin can use a second thin layer on cheeks or tight areas, without making the entire routine unnecessarily heavy.
