The essence has a soft, slightly gel-like consistency that spreads evenly on the skin. It is somewhat richer than a watery toner but feels lighter than a classic cream or a rich serum.

When applied sparingly, the product absorbs quickly and leaves the skin feeling hydrated and smooth. It does not form a pronounced oily film and is therefore suitable for combination and oily skin.

Immediately after application, a light layer of moisture may be noticeable. If too much is applied or multiple layers are stacked, the skin may temporarily feel a bit sticky. Pilling is not usually expected but can occur if a lot of cream or sunscreen is applied directly afterward.

After cleansing and an optional toner, apply one to two pumps to the face and neck. Gently spread the essence and then pat it in with your fingertips until it is largely absorbed.

The product can be used morning and evening. Afterwards, apply a moisturizer depending on your skin type. In the morning, finish the routine with an appropriate sunscreen.

For very sensitive or currently irritated skin, use once daily or every other day initially. If the essence is used together with retinoids, AHA, BHA, or PHA products, pay attention to signs of dryness or additional irritation.

One to two pumps are usually sufficient for the face and neck. For best results, apply the essence to slightly damp skin and then seal it with a cream. This allows the included moisture-binding care to be better utilized.

For combination skin, a very thin layer on the forehead, nose, and chin is often sufficient. Drier or reddened cheeks can be selectively treated with a second half pump if necessary, preventing the T-zone from being unnecessarily overloaded.

Although the formulation is designed to be soothing, this does not guarantee that it will be irritation-free for every sensitive skin type. Especially plant extracts and wintergreen leaf extract can be individually unpleasant for very reactive or already damaged skin.

The essence does not replace a targeted chemical peel or medical treatment for acne, rosacea, or inflammatory skin conditions. Its effect is primarily to be classified as a moisturizing, soothing, and supportive care product.

When using retinoids, acids, or benzoyl peroxide, it can be used as a soothing moisturizing step. However, it does not automatically prevent irritations that arise from an overly intensive active ingredient routine.
